Spot the symmptoms

Symptoms of Arthritis:

  • Joint Pain

The most common symptom of arthritis is joint pain that can vary depending on the type of arthritis and the severity of the condition. The amount of pain usually corresponds to the amount of activity.


  • Joint Swelling

In absence of an injury, the most likely cause of joint swelling is arthritis. It can be detected either by a blood sample or the sample of swollen joint fluid obtained by inserting a needle into the swollen joint.


  • Stiffness of Joints

People suffering from arthritis almost always feel stiffness in their joints. The stiffness arising due to arthritis is usually worse in the morning or after sitting for long periods at a stretch in one position.


  • Deformity of Joints

People suffering from arthritis may develop a knock-kneed or bow-legged appearance In the knee joint, which often gives an appearance of crooked fingers in the hands.


Symptoms of Osteoporosis:

  • Painful Fracture

Although, there is no visible symptom for Osteoporosis, mostly painful fractures are the first sign that it needs diagnosis. Both men and women face similar symptoms of osteoporosis.


  • Chronic Back Pain

Excessive back pain which worsens even during small movements while performing regular household activities, or while coughing, laughing, or sneezing can be an indication of osteoporosis. The pain may also persist when you’re standing still.


  • Spinal Fractures

In case of spinal crush fractures where the vertebral column crumbles or collapses, there are high chances that a patient can suffer from deformed posture and height loss.


  • Tooth Loss

Tooth loss may be a sign that osteoporosis has affected the jawbone.


Symptoms of Thyroid

  • Weight Gain or Loss

A sudden change in weight is one of the most well-known signs of a thyroid disorder. While low levels of thyroid hormone may indicate a condition known as hypothyroidism which causes weight gain, higher levels may lead to a condition called hyperthyroidism which causes the body to lose weight.

  • Change in Heart Rate

People suffering from a thyroid disorder often experience changes in heart rate. Hyperthyroidism can cause the blood pressure to rise, causing an increase in the heart rate. On the contrary, hypothyroidism makes the heart beat slower than normal.

  • Mood Swings

Any thyroid disorder, whether hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, can have a significant impact on the mood and energy levels of a patient. While tiredness and depression are common signs of hypothyroidism, problems such as difficulty in sleeping, anxiety, and restlessness are symptoms of hyperthyroidism.

  • Feeling Too Hot or Cold

A thyroid disorder is also known to adversely affect the ability to regulate body temperature. In case of hypothyroidism, a patient feels cooler than usual. On the other hand, hyperthyroidism causes a patient to excessively sweat even under normal weather conditions.

Symptoms of Tuberculosis

  • Bad Cough

A persistent cough that lasts for over 3 weeks is a common sign of tuberculosis. The cough may also contain phlegm, and sometimes even blood.

  • Chest Pain

Inflammation of the membranes lining your lungs may result in chest pain when you breathe in, and are a common symptom of tuberculosis infection.

  • Weight Loss

Tuberculosis patients often experience symptoms such as fever and lack of appetite, which may result in a considerable amount of weight loss.

  • Tiredness

Patients suffering from tuberculosis have a general sense of being unwell, and tend to feel tired and fatigued as the condition progresses.
