Our mouth is full of bacteria which hide in different nooks and corners of our mouth and attack residues of food in our mouth releasing bad odor due to the activity of sulphur utilizing bacteria. We could do the following in our attempt to beat bad breath:
Have water, plenty of water, dry environment provides excellent environment for bacteria while saliva contains a potent anti bacteria lysozyme enzyme, which will keep bacteria growth in check.
Keep your mouth free from sugar containing food. Sugar acts as a source of energy for bacteria. So keep your mouth moist and saliva flowing but use sugar free gum.
Have frequent Green Tea to stay healthy. Green Tea has good antiseptic activity which will prevent oral bacteria from overgrowing.
Scrape your tongue
Take care of oral health by brushing you teeth atleast twice a day, flossing and using antiseptic mouth wash.
Paan after food, betal leaves contain vitamin C, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and carotene. Green cardamom, kathaa and slaked lime not only reduce bacterial flora in the mouth but also leave a pleasant taste in the mouth.
