The Molecular Biology Department processes a spectrum of specimen for interrogating the sample at the genetic level. The tools that we use are capable of identifying genetic variations as small as one nucleotide change to as large as the loss of a chromosome. This section is equipped with the best in class fully automated systems. This section is also designed in a way to allow unilateral air flow only which helps avoid contamination.
Area of Operations
The primary techniques used in the Department are – Qualitative & Quantitative PCRs, Genetic & Genomic Testing using NGS & Capillary electrophoresis (Sanger Sequencing). The Tests that we perform add value in providing diagnostic and prognostic information in - Infectious diseases, Hematological disorders, Companion Diagnostics and Biomarkers Testing for Solid tumors, Genetic disorders, prenatal identification of genetic disorders, Fertility Assessment during Assisted Reproduction.
