Molecular Biology

The Molecular Biology Department processes a spectrum of specimen for interrogating the sample at the genetic level. The tools that we use are capable of identifying genetic variations as small as one nucleotide change to as large as the loss of a complete chromosome. This section is designed in accordance with international guidelines of GLP and maintains a unidirectional work process. This section is equipped with the best in class automated systems and platforms.

Area of Operations

The primary techniques used in the Department are – Qualitative & Quantitative PCRs, Genetic & Genomic Testing using NGS & Capillary electrophoresis (Sanger Sequencing). The Tests that we perform add value in providing diagnostic and prognostic information in - Infectious diseases, Hematological disorders, Pharmacogenetic testing for evaluation of drug toxicity, Companion Diagnostics and Biomarkers Testing for Solid tumors, Genetic disorders, Carrier Screening and Prenatal identification of genetic disorders and Fertility Assessment during Assisted Reproduction.
